Trick Dog’s new menu is a love letter to San Francisco restaurants

In keeping with its bi-annual tradition, the highly popular Mission District bar lap dog is ready to unveil its 12th new eclectic, sometimes bizarre, but always fascinating cocktail menu — “The Joy of Cocktails: A Trick Dog Cookbook.”

With a tip to “The Joy of Cooking,” the new menu is a love letter to San Francisco’s restaurant scene and features chefs from 16 notable San Francisco destinations, all of whom have been commissioned to create a cocktail.” which reflects the sensibility of their food and their restaurants.

The cookbook menu will replace the last: Trick Dog Airways, which was modeled after the security card a passenger would find on the back of an airplane seat.

The 13 new cocktails ($14 each) in Trick Dog’s “Cookbook” come with a blurb about the chef and the cocktail, as well as a recipe explaining how to make the drinks.

Included in the mix are Dominique Crenn, Atelier Crenn; Gabriela Camara, Cala; ; Craig Stoll, Delfina; Tom McNaughton and Ryan Pollnow, flour + water; Traci des Jardins, Planter; Ravi Kapur, Liholiho Yacht Club; Jew from Brandon, at Mr. Jiu’s; Kim Alter, Nightbird, Melissa Perello, Octavia; Evan and Sarah Rich, Rich Table; Stuart Brioza and Nicole Krasinski, State Bird Provisions; and Angela Pinkerton, Theorita.

The cocktails are illustrated (and detailed) in the gallery below:
