This San Francisco steak house, although a chain had an amazing tasting porter steak that was over 40oz (for two although I felt like eating the whole thing myself). The service at Chris Ruth's was spectacular and the atmosphere was lively. We didn't make reservations on a busy San Francisco Friday night so we had to eat at the bar but that did not detract from the service. The appetizer we had was a spinach ravioli that was also very good but let me return to the steak which was the star of he show. We had it cooked medium-rare and it was juicy, tender and very flavorful. It was pre-cut an placed in the middle of the table for us to share. This is one of the best steaks I've ever had, the best was at a place in Florida...I can't remember the name. Although I tend to shy away from chain restaurants, this one may be one to which I return.
