What’s on the menu? If your name is Wilson, Johnson, or Smith and you don't mind paying too much for Mexican food, then this is the Mexican restaurant in San Francisco for you but if your name is Jimenez, Gonzalez or Sanchez, you better save some money before coming for a taco. With taco prices starting at $3.50 plus $1.00 for avocado and $1.00 for cheese, this is THE most expensive taqueria I have encountered in San Francisco and especially in The Mission. The Mexican food itself was OK/good I guess but it is hard to remember after the taco sticker shock that hit me on the head like a giant carne asada burrito. There are tons of other less expensive and very good Mexican restaurants in San Francisco and The Mission district is full of them. And I have looked at all the other restaurant reviews raving about La Taqueria, I think those were all the "Gavachos" that didn't know any better, pobrecitos.
