If you're feeling homesick you should definately check out Doug s Place. A unique atmosphere brings back memories you thought were long gone and prices are very reasonable. They have the best omelettes you can imagine, wonderful waffles and splendid sandwiches; Doug's is a family favorite for many reasons: the food, the service, the friendly and efficient staff always with a nice smile and coffee on hand, and of course - their fresh food. The wait for a table is comparitively short, about 10 min. but once you are seated the food comes before you can say MUM. As an added bonus, parking not a problem at this Castro Valley restaurant. That is why it is my family's favorite.
