What’s on the menu?
Cafe Picaro is a Spanish Tapas restaurant located in San Francisco's Mission district. It's decor is very authentic compared to Tapas restaurants in Spain. The food is good, especially the "Tortilla" the traditional Spanish dish made primarily with eggs and potatoes. We also enjoyed the "Gambas al Ajillo" basically shrimp scampi but the Sangria was the hit of the party. It had a good amount of fruit and it was sweet but not too sweet. When we went to this San Francisco restaurant, we went with a few Spanish folks and so they were pretty critical of the Spanish restaurant since we didn't see Spanish people working there but they did enjoy the tapas although they didn't feel they were quite the same as at home...go figure.
